State Cooperative Societies Act, 1965 or the Multi State Cooperative Societies Act, 1984 following the bifurcation of Uttar Pradesh under the U.P. State Re-organization Act, 2000. The Court held that the PACSFED automatically became a Multi State Cooperative Society on 09.11.2000, as per Section 95 of the Multi-State Act, and quashed the High Court's order that had annulled its registration under the Multi-State Act. The appeals were allowed, affirming the validity of the PACSFED's registration.
