Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court addressed the implementation of a preliminary decree for the dissolution of a partnership under Article 227 of the Constitution of India. The Court held that the trial court must appoint a new Receiver following the death of the previous one to ensure proper maintenance and auditing of accounts as directed in the preliminary decree dated 10th October 1979. The Court mandated that this appointment should occur expeditiously, preferably within two months, to facilitate the final decree process.
