Respondent
State Of Uttarakhand & Anr
Bench

Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court dismissed the appeal as infructuous, noting that the Criminal Complaint No.192 of 1996, which was the subject of the appeal under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code, had already been dismissed by the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Dehradun on December 2, 2008. The Court held that since the underlying complaint was no longer pending, there was no basis for the appeal. Consequently, the appeal was disposed of without any order as to costs.
