Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court set aside the order of the Madhya Pradesh High Court and granted the appellants permission to withdraw their special leave petition in light of the Madhya Pradesh Uchcha Nayayalaya (Khand Nyaypeeth Ko Appeal) Adhiniyam, 2005. This statute allows for Letters Patent Appeals against orders of a Single Judge, thus enabling the appellants to pursue their remedy through the appropriate legal channel. The Court directed that the High Court shall hear the LPA in accordance with law after allowing the application for condonation.
