Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court ruled that the State of Tamil Nadu's Notification requiring a minimum of 60% marks for admission to homeopathy colleges was not applicable to students admitted in the academic years 2004-05 and 2005-06, as the Notification was issued after admissions for 2004-05 had concluded. The Court held that students who had secured more than 50% marks as per the Central Council of India Medicine Regulations should not be disqualified, thereby allowing them to be treated as qualified for their courses. The appeals were disposed of with no costs awarded.
