The Court held that the High Court erred in relying on the appellants' alleged admission about the illegitimacy of Debiya, as the evidence presented did not conclusively establish his parentage. The Court reinstated the order of the Revisional Court, affirming the appellants' claim to be the legal heirs under the U.P. Consolidation Holdings Act, 1953.
