The Supreme Court set aside the High Court's order dated 20.10.2005 which dismissed Smt. Bala's writ petition seeking compensation for her son's death due to alleged negligence by school authorities. The Court found the High Court's dismissal to be untenable and directed the appellant to submit a detailed representation to the Chief Secretary of the NCT of Delhi and other relevant authorities for appropriate relief.
