The Supreme Court permitted the respondent to withdraw Writ Petition No. 11929 of 2007 pending before the Punjab and Haryana High Court, allowing him to file an application under Section 17 of the Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002. The Court held that the application shall be considered and disposed of on merits, and vacated the interim orders previously passed by the High Court. The civil appeals were disposed of accordingly.
