The Supreme Court directed the Intellectual Property Appellate Board (IPAB) to hear and dispose of the appeals filed by NATCO Pharma Limited against the Union of India on a day-to-day basis, with a special appointment of Dr. P.C. Chakraborti as a Technical Member for these appeals. The Court clarified that Dr. Chakraborti would receive remuneration as a Technical Member but would not draw his salary as Deputy Controller of Patents and Designs during this period. The appeals are to be disposed of preferably within one month from the commencement of the hearing, with no order as to costs.
