Judgment text excerpt
The Supreme Court upheld the decision of the Executive Council of Dr. N.T.R. University of Health Sciences to cancel the results of re-verification of answer scripts for 294 students who were declared passed after re-evaluation. The Court found that the Vice-Chancellor's actions in re-verifying and re-evaluating the answer scripts were not justified, as the process lacked proper authority and adherence to established examination protocols. Consequently, the judgment of the Andhra Pradesh High Court, which set aside the Vice-Chancellor's decision, was affirmed.
