Judgment text excerpt
The Supreme Court held that the High Court erred in quashing the F.I.R. in Crime No.325 of 2002 solely on the basis that the respondents had previously filed a civil suit and obtained an injunction. The Court clarified that the nature of the dispute was not purely civil, and thus the High Court's assumption was incorrect. Consequently, the Supreme Court set aside the High Court's judgment, allowing the Criminal Appeal and reviving the F.I.R. for investigation in accordance with law.
