Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court upheld the orders of the Debt Recovery Appellate Tribunal and the Debt Recovery Tribunal regarding the adjustment of Rs. 25 lakhs deposited by the respondent towards the loan account with the appellant-Bank. The Court clarified that the amount deposited is subject to the outcome of the appeals and does not prevent the Bank from entering into a One Time Settlement (OTS) with the respondent. The Court found no irregularity or illegality in the orders of the lower tribunals, thus dismissing the civil revision application.
