The Supreme Court held that the review application against the order of the Special Land Acquisition Officer dated 10th January 2006 was improperly rejected, as no grounds were established for interference. The Court found that the writ application should not have been dismissed on the basis of delay, and thus restored the writ petition, setting aside the impugned order dated 27th March 2006. The High Court was directed to hear the writ petition on merits and issue a reasoned order.
