The Supreme Court set aside the order dated 18 December 2006 of the Delhi High Court regarding the arbitration award dated 30 October 1996, declaring the proceedings not maintainable. The Court directed the return of the award to the respondent for filing in the Himachal Pradesh High Court under Sections 8 and 20 of the Indian Arbitration Act, 1940. The delay in filing the award was condoned, and the Himachal Pradesh High Court was requested to expedite the matter, with the appeal disposed of accordingly.
