Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court dismissed the original Writ Petition No.1046/2006 as withdrawn, thereby restoring the status quo ante that existed at the time of filing. The Court directed the appellant, M/s. Farmers Tractors, to supply the remaining quantity of PVC pipes under the contract within thirty days, as they had already supplied approximately three lakh metres out of the total nine lakh metres. The Court found no reason to accept the State's later support for the impugned judgment, given their previous affidavits supporting the tender process and terms.
