The Supreme Court addressed the application of Section 50 of the Indian Evidence Act, 1872, in a dispute over property inheritance among descendants of Chartu. The judgment of the Punjab and Haryana High Court was upheld, confirming the relationship of the appellants as heirs of Bakhtawar Singh.
