Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court ruled that the appellants are to be charged electricity charges according to clause (1) of the Board’s order D.O. No. Plg.Cost.902/PC/86 dated 14/10/1988, as clause (5) regarding special allocation during power cuts does not apply since the power cut was lifted on 14/8/1986. The Court clarified that the charges should be in the ratio of 25:75 based on actual consumption, affirming the Board's directive. The appeals were disposed of accordingly.
