Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court upheld the decision of the Andhra Pradesh High Court, which dismissed the Civil Revision Petition under Section 21 of the Andhra Pradesh Land Reforms (Ceiling on Agricultural Holdings) Act, 1973. The Court found that the Land Reforms Appellate Tribunal correctly set aside the surrender of 11 acres and 07 guntas of land, as the respondent had been in continuous possession since 1971, and the surrender was not acceptable under Section 10(5)(a)(ii) due to the dispute over title. The Court affirmed that the High Court's findings did not suffer from any infirmity, thus maintaining the Appellate Tribunal's order.
