Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court addressed the validity of a Will executed by Kum. Uma Bose in favor of the Gaudia Mission under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. The Court held that the Will and subsequent Codicil were validly executed and that the respondent, Kum. Shobha Bose, had no rightful claim to the estate, as she concealed the existence of the Will when applying for a Letter of Administration. The Court overturned the High Court's dismissal of the appellant's claims, affirming the Mission's entitlement to the properties bequeathed by Kum. Uma Bose.
