Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court addressed the imposition of conditions for anticipatory bail under Sections 109, 409, 420 IPC and the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. The Court held that the condition requiring the appellant to deposit a sum of Rs.10,27,504/- was unnecessary, especially since there was no claim made against the appellant by the complainant. Consequently, the Court modified the bail conditions, allowing the appellant to execute a bond of Rs.25,000/- instead. The appeals were disposed of with this modification.
