The Supreme Court upheld the concurrent findings of fact by the High Court and lower tribunals regarding the appellants' liability to pay batai or chakota under the Punjab Security of Land Tenures Act, 1953. The Court found no infirmity in the decisions of the lower courts and directed the appellants to deliver peaceful vacant possession to the respondent by May 31, 2008. The appeal was dismissed with no order as to costs.
