Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court upheld the High Court's decision that employees of the Bank who opted for voluntary retirement are entitled to all retirement benefits, including Leave Travel Concession, as per Regulation 44(1) of the Punjab & Sind Bank Officers Service Regulations, 1982 and Clause (4) of the Bank’s VRS Scheme, 2000. The Court clarified that the lack of detailed reasoning in the High Court's judgment does not warrant remand, affirming the entitlement of the respondents to the benefits. Consequently, the special leave petition was dismissed under Article 136 of the Constitution.
