Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court ordered that if the decretal amount is deposited within two months from the date of receipt of this order by the High Court, the recovery of the awarded money shall be stayed until the appeal is disposed of. The Court set aside the previous order dated April 23, 2007, and mandated that the High Court expedite the hearing of the pending appeal within six months of the deposit. If the amount is not deposited within the stipulated time, the stay will automatically vacate, and the appeals were disposed of with no order as to costs.
