Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court addressed the case of Ram Naresh Prasad Singh, who claimed he was wrongfully terminated from his position as a teacher and later as an Assistant Head Master after the school was taken over by the government. The Court found that there was no effective order of termination, and the petitioner had continued in service until 2004 without receiving salary from April 2002 to December 2003. The Court directed the respondents to pay the petitioner Rs. 1 lakh as final settlement within three months, thereby recognizing the lack of proper termination procedures.
