JAGDISH CHANANA vs STATE OF HARYANA

The Supreme Court quashed FIR No.83 dated 12th March 2005 registered under Sections 419, 420, 465, 468, 469, 471, 472, 474 read with Section 34 IPC, based on a compromise deed dated 30th April 2007. The Court held that the disputes were purely personal and arose from commercial transactions, thus there was no public policy concern warranting the continuation of the proceedings. The appeal was allowed, and all consequent proceedings were quashed.
