Padma Charan Patra vs State Of Orissa

The Supreme Court, in Criminal Miscellaneous Petition No. 6016 of 2007, relaxed the bail conditions imposed on Padma Charan Patra, originally set on 12.5.2006, allowing him to not report to the police station every fortnight and to leave the State of Orissa without prior notice to the Investigating Officer. The Court noted that similar relaxations had been granted to co-accused by the High Court and that the investigation was completed. The petitioner is now required to report to the Investigating Agency as needed and not leave India without the Court's permission.
