Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court held that the Karnataka Housing Board's dismissal of the writ-petitioner's claim for consequential benefits was not in accordance with law, as the earlier judgment in Writ Petition No. 1848 of 1992 had become final and mandated the reassignment of seniority and payment of benefits. The Court directed the Board to implement the earlier order in 'letter and spirit' and disburse all due benefits to the writ-petitioner. The appeal was allowed, overturning the High Court's decision that had dismissed the writ-petitioner's claim.
