Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court dismissed the appeal filed by M.D. University, Rohtak, affirming the Punjab and Haryana High Court's judgment which upheld the Appellate Court's decision that declared the notification declaring Ajit Singh Nandal's post vacant as illegal. The Court found that Nandal was allowed to resume duty without conditions and that the removal from service lacked a proper inquiry as mandated by the university rules. Consequently, the appeal was dismissed with no order as to costs, allowing the respondent to proceed with execution of the decree.
