Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court upheld the dismissal of a second appeal regarding the cancellation of a sale deed executed by Raghoram, who had deposited 20 times the rent to convert Sirdari rights into Bhumidhari rights under Sections 134 and 137 of the U.P. Zamidari Abolition and Lands Reforms Act, 1950. The Court ruled that the grant of Bhumidhari Sanad does not relate back to the date of deposit if the tenant dies before the issuance of the Sanad. Consequently, the appeal was dismissed, affirming the lower courts' decisions.
