Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court addressed the legality of the land allotment to M/s. United Auto Tractors Private Limited under the Andhra Pradesh Government's policy and the subsequent transfer of rights to the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Ltd. (APIICL) as per GOMs No. 1162 dated 4th December, 1973. The Court held that the failure of the Company to pay the remaining cost of the land after its vesting with APIICL constituted a breach of the Agreement, thus affirming the APIICL's demand for payment. The appeals by Syndicate Bank were dismissed, confirming the High Court's ruling that the land remained the property of the Government until full payment was made.
