Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court held that the Punjab and Haryana High Court's decision to quash the advertisement for allotment of a retail outlet dealership at Sector 53, Gurgaon, was erroneous. The Court emphasized that the letter of intent dated 24.6.2003 issued to the respondent No.1 did not pertain to the Sector 53 site, thus the High Court's direction to allot the dealership based on that letter was not legally sustainable. The Court ultimately set aside the High Court's order, reinforcing the validity of the advertisement issued by the Corporation on 13.7.2005.
