Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court dismissed the writ petition filed under Article 32 of the Constitution, stating that cases claiming pension as freedom fighters should be addressed by the High Court rather than directly in the Supreme Court. The Court observed that many such petitions arise from State Governments' findings of ineligibility for pension, and encouraged petitioners with genuine grievances to seek remedy in the appropriate forum. The dismissal was made with liberty to approach the High Court if advised.
