Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court held that once a party accepts an arbitration award without reservation, it cannot later challenge the award on grounds of the arbitrator's jurisdiction. The appellant had received the awarded amount and submitted to the arbitrator's jurisdiction, thus waiving any right to contest the award. The Court affirmed the decisions of the lower courts, concluding that the Deputy General Manager (Materials) had acted within the scope of his authority under the contract's arbitration clause, and the appeal was dismissed.
