Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court upheld the decision of the High Court which remitted the matter for further inquiry regarding the termination of a teacher's service. The Court found that the termination lacked a valid inquiry as required by law, and while agreeing with the need for further inquiry, it modified the order to allow a retired District Judge to conduct the inquiry instead of forming a new committee. The appeal was dismissed, maintaining the reinstatement of the teacher under suspension pending inquiry.
