Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court dismissed a special leave petition under Article 136, stating that an efficacious alternate remedy exists for the petitioner through a revision under Section 115 of the Code of Civil Procedure. The Court clarified that despite the bar on a second appeal under sub-Section (3) of Section 37 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, the remedy of revision remains available as the City Civil Court is subordinate to the High Court. The Court also allowed the exclusion of time spent in this Court for limitation purposes.
