Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court held that the petitioner was entitled to re-evaluation of her examination results under Clause 18 of Ordinance IV of the Kurukshetra University Act, 1986, which mandates submission of re-evaluation applications within 20 days of result declaration. The Court found that the delay in submitting the application was due to the late receipt of the detailed marks card, thus holding that the rejection of her application for re-evaluation was unjustified. Consequently, the Court set aside the High Court's dismissal and directed the university to declare the petitioner's result.
