Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court addressed the applicability of the Bombay Tenancy & Agricultural Lands Act, 1948, particularly Section 32-G and Section 88, in determining tenant rights. The Court held that the first respondent, who claimed tenancy, failed to exercise his option to purchase the lands within the stipulated time, thus losing his right to do so. The Court upheld the findings of the Additional Tehsildar that the first respondent was not a tenant and dismissed the appeals of the first respondent and the Investment Company.
