Judgment text excerpt
The Supreme Court upheld the Monopolies & Restrictive Trade Practices Commission's order directing the allotment of a plot measuring not less than 500 sq. mts. to the 1st Respondent at the rate of Rs. 750 per sq. mt., as per Section 12(B) and Section 36A of the Monopolies & Restrictive Trade Practices Act, 1969. The Court established that the allotment was valid despite subsequent policy changes, and the 1st Respondent was entitled to compensation in the form of interest on the earnest money paid. The appeal was dismissed, affirming the Commission's decision.
