The Supreme Court upheld the constitutional validity of Sections 9, 10, and 11 of the U.P. Secondary Education Services Commission and Selection Boards Act, 1982, as amended by U.P. Act No.15 of 1995, and Rule 12 of the U.P. Secondary Education Services Commission (Amendment) Rules, 1995. The Court affirmed the validity of the selection process conducted by the U.P. Secondary Education Services Commission and the panel of selected candidates prepared on April 15, 1997. It directed that the selection should be implemented in accordance with law, while allowing for inquiries into the qualifications of selected candidates if necessary, under the provisions of the U.P. Intermediate Education Act, 1921.
