Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court examined the interpretation of an insurance policy regarding coverage for 'unlimited personal injury and property damage' up to Rs. 10 lakhs, as per the premium of Rs. 134 paid. The Court held that the language of the policy did indeed cover personal injury to the insured, contrary to the insurance company's claim that it only pertained to property damage. The Court reversed the High Court's decision, reinstating the trial court's ruling in favor of the appellants for the compensation amount sought.
