Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court upheld the decision of the Deputy Director (Consolidation) regarding the Sirdari rights over plots 1366, 1367, and 1368 under the U.P. Consolidation of Holdings Act, 1953. The Court found that the plots, used for storage by the Jaswant Sugar Mills, did not vest in the State upon the abolition of Zamindari under the U.P. Zamindari Abolition and Land Reforms Act, 1950. The Court dismissed the appeal, affirming the High Court's ruling that the Deputy Director's judgment was valid and justified.
