Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court dismissed the Criminal Appeal No. 78/89 and Writ Petition No. 543/92, affirming the conviction of the appellants based on the credible testimonies of two eyewitnesses, P.W. 2 Amila Devi and P.W. 3 Bhagwani Devi. The Court held that the relationship of the witnesses to the deceased does not inherently discredit their evidence. The Court found no infirmity in the lower courts' appreciation of evidence, thus upholding the sentence and directing the appellants to surrender to custody.
