Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court upheld the rejection of applications for allotment of plots by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) on the grounds that the applicants lacked the necessary municipal licenses under Section 416 of the Delhi Municipal Corporation Act and did not comply with Rule 6(v) of the Delhi Development Authority (Disposal of Development Nazul Land) Rules, 1981. The Court affirmed the decisions of both the learned single Judge and the Division Bench of the Delhi High Court, which had found the DDA's objections to be valid. Consequently, the appeals by the DDA were dismissed.
