Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court held that under the A.P. Inam Abolition and Conversion into Ryotwari Act, Act 37/56, the pre-existing rights of the respondent as an Inamdar were extinguished, and the Math retained ownership of the property. The Court affirmed the findings of the appellate court that the respondent could not claim possessory title as he was merely permitted to enjoy the land for services rendered to the Math. The appeal was dismissed, upholding the lower court's decree that recognized the Math as the real owner of the property.
