Judgment text excerpt
The Supreme Court upheld the High Court's directions regarding the regularization of daily wage employees in the Registration Department of Uttar Pradesh, as established in Khagesh Kumar & Ors. vs. Inspector General of Registration [1995 Supp.(4) SCC 182]. The Court ruled that employees who worked as Registration Clerks on a daily wage basis prior to 1.10.1986 should be considered for regularization if they meet specific criteria, including three years of continuous service. The Court also mandated that the Subordinate Services Selection Commission give weightage to their experience during regular appointments.
