PRAMILA vs RAMESHWAR

The Supreme Court granted leave and approved a mutual consent divorce under Section 13-B of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1956, establishing that respondent No.1 is to pay Rs.700 per month in alimony starting from November 1, 1995. The Court held that all pending proceedings between the parties are closed and allowed the appellant to recover alimony through arrest and detention in case of default. The appeal was disposed of without costs.
