Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court addressed contempt petitions regarding the enforcement of its earlier order dated 30th April 1990 in Civil Appeal No. 2054 of 1990. The Court clarified that the option exercised by Assistant Station Masters at the time of appointment was irrevocable and that they should be treated separately for benefits under alternative-II of the restructuring. The Court directed the opposite parties to implement its order for 204/206 employees, ensuring they receive the benefits entitled to them without disturbing the seniority of others.
