JAYANTRAO AMRATRAO PRADHAN vs PARTHASARTHY, COLLECTOR OF KAIRA DISTRICT AND OTHERS.

The Supreme Court held that under Section 22 of the Gujarat Patel Watan Abolition Act, 1961, the Collector has jurisdiction to determine the title of land classified as Service Inam. The Court ruled that the lands granted to the appellant's ancestor were indeed subject to the provisions of the Abolition Act and the Resumption Rules, 1908, and thus could be resumed by the State. The appeal was dismissed, affirming the Collector's order regarding the classification and resumption of the lands.
