Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court held that the termination of the appellant's service was initially invalid due to lack of notice to all Directors for the meeting on December 16, 1953, as required for valid resolutions. However, the subsequent ratification of the Chairman's action at a properly convened meeting on December 23, 1953, validated the termination retroactively to December 17, 1953. The Court also affirmed that the company rules mandating one month's notice for termination applied to the appellant, thus rejecting his claim for 18 months' notice.
