Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court held that the appellants, who were put in possession of land by the widow of the deceased, could not claim the benefit of Section 5 of the Hyderabad Tenancy & Agricultural Lands Act, 1950, as they were not lawfully cultivating the land. The Court clarified that the widow's possession was that of a trespasser after the decree in favor of the adopted son, and thus she could not create any rights in the land. The appeal was dismissed, affirming the High Court's decision against the appellants.
